Low-end L-style phone landing this monthMobile phones News By Patrick Goss 13 hours ago | Tell us what you think [ 0 comments ]
Tweet Aimed at the younger, more sociable, audienceThe LG Optimus L3 UK release date has been set for March, with the newly announced handset landing in Europe just weeks after being unveiled at Mobile World Congress.
The 3.2 inch LG Optimus L3 is the lowest end phone in the L-Style design series, but the company will be hoping that the Android phone can make a splash.
"We've always believed in the need to offer a variety of smartphone options and many people simply don't want to pay for a lot of extra bells and whistles." said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company.
Smartphone-related"We think the Optimus L3 offers all of basic smartphone-related benefits but in a more premium package that hasn't been seen before on a smartphone in this category."
The LG Optimus L3 is billed as an 'on the go socializing' device, and is obviously pitched at a younger and/or budget audience who are seeking a social networking phone.
After making its debut in Europe, the L3 will then move on to Russia and Asia before being granted a US release date.
