Tweet iPad HD - it just doesn't sound rightThe iPad 3 could actually be called the iPad HD if leaked data from iPad accessory manufacturers is to be believed.
After the world learnt of the March 7 event Apple is organising, iPad 3 rumours have been coming thick and fast as people 'in the know' report what they think the Cupertino-based firm is trying to keep so secret.
The latest speculation comes from leaked parts listings of iPad accessory manufacturers Griffin and Belkin, who only get information on Apple devices a week or two before they are announced.
Life in HDThe listing shows the product name "Griffin IPAD HD", which upholds other rumours that the iPad 3 (or is it the iPad HD now?) will sport at retina-like display, as seen on the iPhone 4S.
Although this by no means guarantees the iPad 3 will be the iPad HD, server logs have also turned up which make reference to a device called iPad HD and discloses the tablet's resolution as 2048 x 1536.
At the end of the day it is pretty much expected that the iPad 3 will pack a HD display so these rumours are not breaking the mould and do not provide enough information for us believe they are the real deal.
It looks like we will have to wait until Wednesday for the official verdict. Surely it will be the iPad 3 - won't it?
