The new Fire IS tablet is need a great mid-range tablet, which doesn’t belong to iPad’s league, but its future versions may stand a chance to challenge Apple’s master creation.

December 21, 2011 12:14 PMRob Bellsaid...I haven't heard anyone say anything particularly great about the Kindle Fire yet - it's not generating a buzz among my friends like iPad did. I disagree that it's not competing for the same market though - the tablet market hasn't fragmented into categories yet, all tablets are together as far as perception goes. One day we'll have segmentation by price bracket, screen size, capabilities and more, but that's at least 3-5 years away, the market's still emerging.
