Apple is quite known for the control its exerts on the apps that make it to the App Store. That is not always a bad thing as many fake and malicious apps get stopped before they get to do a whole lot of damage. No system is foolproof. The fact that a fake Pokemon Yellow app has made it to the App Store is not that surprising. The funny part is the app has quickly moved up in the sales charts. The Pokemon franchise is still quite popular but the fake one that has sold like hotcakes does not do anything.

The app has been removed from the App Store. It never worked to begin with. It would crash as soon as users hit the the title screen. Clone apps and IP theft are going to be big issues in the app business for years to come. Of course, Apple simply can’t stop every developer that bends the rules. In this case, the developer of the fake app couldn’t even deliver a working app.

Unlike the above app, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Official World Interactive Map does work and is already a hit among Skyrim fans. The app provides users with an interactive world map of locations, points of interest, trainers, skill books, and everything in between. This ships with free content but you can enhance it significantly with in-app purchases.

You get 160 interior maps, 550+ primary and secondary locations, and over 1000 points of interest. Users can add their own custom POI. The screenshots and search function help too. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is already an addictive game. This map app will make your experience in that world even more fun.
