HTC Wildfire S Android (2.3.3)Gingerbread , smartphone launched in India : price and reviews

First announced at February's Mobile World Congress, HTC has finally rolled out the successor to its Wildfire Android smartphone in India. The new HTC Wildfire S sports a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display and is the lowest-end Android phone for consumers, priced below the HTC Desire S and Incredible S phones.
The HTC Wildfire S runs on the latest build of Android's Gingerbread OS (2.3.3), has a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. The HTC Wildfire S' 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen (320x480) has a TFT panel and there's a standard 5MP autofocus camera for shooting photos and videos.


The HTC Wildfire S supports a microSD card with up to 32GB of storage. The Wildfire S supports Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0 wireless protocols, apart from 3G, GSM and EDGE connectivity. The Gingerbread phone also comes with proprietary HTC Sense UI (similar to Samsung's TouchWiz interface) for streamlining certain tasks: like, Friend Stream for combining social network updates from your friends across Twitter, Facebook, and more.
The HTC Wildfire is now available in stores across India for Rs. 14,700 (MRP). The phone has two color choices: dark grey and silver white.
