Intel plans to launch five new hard drive (SSD) before the end of this year, according to the report. In conjunction with the upcoming Z68 chipset, each of the new SSD drives use cache to improve performance in combination with a standard hard disk drives (HDDs), said the report. According to news site VR-Zone technology, Intel will launch its Z68 processor Sandy Bridge next month. Fast Z68 chipset supports Intel SSD caching technology that allows the SSD to be used in combination with traditional HDD for the manufacture of hybrid cars like the Seagate Momentus XT. SSD will operate as a cache, to improve the performance of activities such as operating systems and application load time.
Intel SSD hybrid discs require 18.6GB to 64GB capacity, according to VR-Zone. As a Seagate Momentus XT, the most frequently used data will be cached for quick access.
